What Are Lumens in Projectors?

In projectors, lumens are used to measure “luminous flux,” or the perceived output of light. Luminous flux is not a measurement of total light output, but a measurement of what light can be seen by the human eye. In most projectors the light output is expressed in ANSI lumens, which are lumens measured in a particular method described by the American National Standards Institute. (more…)

Panasonic Solutions Company used the InfoComm 2011 forum in Orlando, Fla. this week to announce a broad range of new professional audio visual and computing technologies.

The company introduced numerous new products, including new LCD and plasma displays for digital signage and conference room applications and professional projectors for a wide range of venues. It also rolled out HDTV production solutions and a new Toughbook mobile computer. (more…)

Acer introduces new ultra-portable pico projector

Acer has unveiled its latest ultra-portable projector, which is designed to work without the need for lap-tops, cables and power sockets.

The C112 pico projector can be connected to a USB flash drive and comes with an optional external battery that lasts two hours, enabling users to project multimedia on the move without having to carry all the extras. (more…)
