A front projector can provide a large picture that will make the average television set look like a throwback to the 1950s. But front projectors do not contain a TV tuner, so you must connect a television source to watch television through the projector.
Instruction :
- Unplug the power from the cable box. Remove any audio and video cables that are connected to the cable box and put them aside. Unscrew the cable bringing in the TV signal from the back of the cable box. Wipe off the cable box to remove dust from the case.
- Place the front projector on a table or other level surface that can hold it. Bring the cable box over to the projector and put it by the side of the projector on the table or on the floor next to the projector as long as there is no rug or carpeting touching the cable box.
- Plug the HDMI cable into the HDMI output of the cable box. Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI input of the front projector.
Bring the TV cable that was unscrewed from the cable box over to where the cable box now is. Screw the cable back into the input for the TV signal in the back of the cable box.
- Plug the front projector and the cable box into the surge-protector power outlet. Turn on the cable box and set to a broadcast channel that has a program running on it.
- Turn on the front projector. Use the projector’s input menu to select the HDMI input that the cable box is connected to. Focus the projector. Change the channel of the cable box to a program that you want to watch on television.
Tips & Warnings
- A front projector does not have a speaker. To hear television while watching the picture on a front projector, connect the audio outputs from the cable box to your amplifier or stereo audio system.
- Any electronic device that uses AC power can be a pontential shock hazard. Be sure the projector and any other electrical device being used is properly plugged in and grounded.
