What is “ANSI LUMENS”, “Brightness” and “Contrast Ratio” ?
When you saw the specification of projector, you will find words : “ANSI LUMENS” , “Brightness” and “Contras Ratio”. The three of them were specs the standard from the projector that could be used by you to choose the projector in accordance with your requirement. Along with the meaning from ANSI LUMENS, Brightness and Contrast Ratio:
ANSI LUMENS
A measurement of light that has been standardized by ANSI. It is commonly used to rate the brightness of a data projector. An ANSI lumen rating uses an average of several measurements taken across the face of the light source.
It was increasingly high that ANSI LUMENS the projector then increasingly obviously the projection that was produced. If you needed the projector in the bright room, then ANSI LUMENS must be high. This that caused the projector meeting had ANSI LUMENS that was high, because of being needed to put forward the data in quite clear space. At this time for the projector meeting in general had minimal 2000 ANSI LUMENS.
Brightness
is an attribute of visual perception in which a source appears to be radiating or reflecting light. In other words, brightness is the perception elicited by the luminance of a visual target. This is a subjective attribute/property of an object being observed.
Contrast Ratio
is a measure of a display system, defined as the ratio of the luminance of the brightest color (white) to that of the darkest color (black) that the system is capable of producing. A high contrast ratio is a desired aspect of any display, but with the various methods of measurement for a system or its part, remarkably different measured values can sometimes produce similar results.
Usually the projector movie had high contrast ratio (above 2000:1) and ANSI LUMENS that was low (under 2000), was caused the projector movie was used in dark room that did not need many lights. So as with ANSI LUMENS small, but with high contrast ratio, could put forward viewing movie with the good quality.
